Peter has practiced transactional law in Chicago since 1983, initially with two major downtown Chicago firms, and later in small firms. His practice has focused for years on the general representation of privately-held companies and entrepreneurs. His clients include other law firms, technology companies, medical practices, companies involved in real estate development and management, and manufacturing companies.
Peter lives in Park Ridge, Illinois, with his wife, also an attorney, and his son and daughter.
Presentations:
Peter frequently delivers presentations to other attorneys through bar association seminars and continuing legal education classes, on topics such as:
- mergers and acquisitions,
- succession planning,
- structuring multi-owner entities,
- legal issues for physicians and medical practices,
- litigating shareholder disputes, and
- legal issues in raising capital by privately-held companies.
For years, Peter delivered seminar presentations through the Chicago Bar Association on the representation of businesses to lawyers beginning their careers. Peter also speaks from time to time to groups of allied professionals, like bankers, accountants, and insurance brokers.Education
